Thank you for visiting this space. It is a special part of my life that has helped me heal by allowing me to connect with wonderful people who share a love of vintage, pieces of the past, and a simpler lifestyle. Four years ago, my life changed. As it often does, a health crisis was the catalyst for a reevaluation. After a two year losing battle with the disease achalasia, an invasive surgery was needed in order to continue the fight. The disease had left my body weighing less than a hundred pounds and in a weakened condition. While the surgery should be considered a success, it resulted in more life altering complications. One of the more serious, the placement of a pacemaker made for a longer recovery and a reassessment of priorities.
When leaning on family and friends during times of crisis, the value of connection becomes evident. If not for the love and support of others during the dark times, my recovery may not have had such a positive result. Finding connections with people is healing. Reaching out to communities that share loves has been restorative. Antiques, vintage, farm, cooking, DIY, farm, “pets,” and family life are all some of my loves to share with others. Celebrating all of these bits of happiness is good for the soul. Blogging some of these topics on this site and social media have given me new life. Those who share in Vintage Farm Life have become a larger family and have curated joy. Thank you all for the continued love and support. Thank you so much for being part of this community.
